Weekly Prayer - September 8 - 14, 2024

Father God, we thank you for leaders in our county that have been willing to step up to serve us. We pray that You would remind them daily of their responsibilities to be dutiful and faithful, just and righteous, honest and forthright, kind and merciful as they fulfill their leadership roles.

We ask LORD, that You would provide them courage to do what is right and good and best for those they serve, even if people complain and oppose them for it.

We pray that You would give them wisdom and divine inspiration and insight, so that they might make decisions that will benefit not only this generation of people they are serving but will continue to bless those in their county for generations to come.

We pray for Your protection to cover them and their families that they may not be distracted from their duties, nor led astray by evil or temptation, nor be deceived into taking the wrong path and leading others astray. 

Raise up the right men and women for each position as needed, we pray, and remove those that are not right for the role at any given time. Do not allow evil to be celebrated as good, nor good punished as if it were evil, but give the people and leaders of our county discernment to know what they need to do.

May Your will be done here in our county, as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
