Sunday
Father God, we thank you for leaders in families across our nation. We thank You for mothers and fathers that are standing for what is right, mentoring their children and often the children of others in their neighborhoods. We thank You for grandparents that have stepped up to care for children that have lost parents for various reasons. We thank You for foster parents and guardians that have done the same, even caring for the children of complete strangers at cost to themselves. We ask that You would bless all families across our nation today, pouring Your Holy Spirit over them. Draw their hearts to You and to one another. May family leaders not be distracted by the many cares and concerns of this world, but be able to maintain healthy priorities. We pray that You would give supernatural insight and wisdom to empower family leaders to know how to raise children effectively: when to discipline and how, when to reward and to what degree, when to teach and when to allow children to learn on their own. Protect families and their leaders across our nation, Lord. Deliver families from evil and the attacks of the devil. Deliver them from miscommunication and misunderstanding. Empower them to work through issues of conflict so that they may be strengthened in their mutual relationships. Bless and help families across America we pray. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
MONDAY
Father God, we thank You for husbands and fathers who are working to provide for their families and trying to lead them in the best way they know how. We pray that You would give strength and grace to these men that are trying to do what is right by You and their families. We pray that You would bless them with insight and wisdom. We pray that You would help them to learn to rely on You, so that they would not feel that everything rests only on their shoulders. Intervene in families all across America to cause men to rise to the occasion and lead their families in sacrificial, unconditional love. Deliver husbands and fathers from distractions that steal their time and attention. Help them to set healthy priorities in their lives. Give them hearts that seek to serve and love their family members. Support and protect their families from the attacks of the enemy. Deliver them from evil. Raise up mentors around them and raise up people to pray for them as they need help or assistance, so that they can have all they need when they need it most. When such men make mistakes, help them to embrace and own their failures and learn quickly from them, so that they can be humble and better leaders moving forward. We thank You for hearing our prayers today, In Jesus’ Name. Amen
TUESDAY
Father God, we thank you for wives and mothers that are leading in their families. We pray for all wives and mothers across our nation today. Empower them to be able to effectively mentor their children and bless their families. Empower them to lead in all ways You call them to in their families and homes. Fill their hearts with wisdom, love and compassion. May they be effective nurturers, organizers and disciplinarians. May they create a home atmosphere where children can thrive and flourish and where husbands feel respected and loved. Support them in their many tasks and responsibilities, we pray. Give them the strength and persistence needed to accomplish all You desire in their lives and various roles. Protect them from evil and aggression. Deliver them from distraction and discontent. Pour out Your Holy Spirit into them to draw them nearer to You so that they may help all those in their family draw nearer to You as well. Give them a sensitivity to Your leading and a grace that enables them to lead others. IN Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Wednesday
Lord we lift up all grandparents to You across our nation. We pray that You would empower them to be leaders and mentors within their family systems. We pray for special grace to be upon and within those that are taking on parental roles due to tragedy or irresponsibility of the parents of their grandchildren. Give them wisdom and give them supernatural insight to be able to raise these children effectively and meet the additional needs they have because parents are not in the picture. We pray that You would give them divine power and energy to be able to keep up with children. Help them to be able to sacrifice in ways that are necessary to cause the children under their care to blossom and flourish. Help them to be spiritual leaders as well, so that their grandchildren might come to know You in a saving way. We thank You for being present with them and providing peace and refreshment that they need to be effective. Bless them and strengthen all grandparents across our nation, we pray. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Thursday
Father God, we thank You for raising up individuals and families who have a heart to bless and assist children that have been removed from their homes for various reasons. We pray for foster parents today as they lead their families and work with children that have been traumatized at various levels. Give them supernatural wisdom and insight so that they may be able to adequately address the needs of the children in their care. Empower them to see and understand how to adapt family systems, discipline, and structure to meet the needs of each individual child. Provide Your understanding into the personality of each child and give them knowledge of each setting/culture for each child they are working with so that they may adapt their parenting style to the individualized needs of those under their care. Give them grace and encouragement each day to be able to consistently, and unconditionally love children, and to persevere in creating healthy structure for them even when children fight against it. Empower them to gently guide those under their care, and we pray that they would have favor with these kids, so as to be able to gain trust and develop therapeutic relationships with them. Provide the needs of these families, especially emotional support that they may need as they work to mentor children. Protect them all and keep them safe across our nation. May more and more broken children find healing and love through such leadership. We thank you for hearing our prayers, Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
Friday
Father God, we lift up non-traditional families to you now, those families that are led by guardians or other family members because of tragedies or other circumstance that have occurred. We pray that You would stir the hearts of such individuals to be like a father or mother to the children the are caring for. We pray that You would supply the resources and support needed to these leaders so that they can created an environment where children thrive and flourish. Fill them with Your love, fill them with Your grace and graciousness, fill them with Your strength, and continually guide them so that they have all they need to mentor the children they are caring for each day. We pray that You would fill up the empty spots in the hearts of those kids that don’t have a mother or father to raise them. Help those kids to see clearly that in spite of the setbacks they have had in life, You and others were with them in the midst of their pain, and they can do the same thing for others. Help them to be able to see what they have gained rather than what they have lost, and empower those caring for them to be able to help them heal through that process. We thank You for hearing our prayers, in Jesus’ Name, Amen
Saturday
Father God, we pray for all leaders in various organizations across America, that serve children and strive to protect and help children. We pray for leaders in DCS organizations, in CASA groups, in Daycare and Pre-school settings, leaders in schools, in churches, and in all other support organizations that serve and bless children. We thank you for volunteer organizations and ministries like Angel Tree, Shop with a Cop, Salvation Army, Samaritan's Purse, and all other groups that serve and bless children. We pray for their leaders as well today. We ask that You would touch the hearts of all such leaders that they may have a deep compassion and empathy for children and their various plights. Move them deeply to create means to help children and serve them and their families. Give them supernatural insight and wisdom to be able to help in ways that bring about growth, initiative, dignity, and integrity in children rather than making them dependent on others. May children come to deeply feel that they are loved through these leaders and the programs and organizations that they operate. May children not only feel loved by people but also feel deeply loved by You. May they feel that You see their situations, You heat their prayers, You care about them, and are working to bring about good in their lives, even thought they may be coming from difficult and even evil situations. Bring honor to Your Name and blessing to children through these leaders. We know, Lord, that You have a special place in Your heart for the children. Save and deliver them from evil and the negative systems and temptations of this world. In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen.
