Sunday
Father God, we thank you for leaders in our county that have been willing to step up to serve us. We pray that You would remind them daily of their responsibilities to be dutiful and faithful, just and righteous, honest and forthright, kind and merciful as they fulfill their leadership roles. We ask LORD, that You would provide them courage to do what is right and good and best for those they serve, even if people complain and oppose them for it. We pray that You would give them wisdom and divine inspiration and insight, so that they might make decisions that will benefit not only this generation of people they are serving but will continue to bless those in their county for generations to come. We pray for Your protection to cover them and their families that they may not be distracted from their duties, nor led astray by evil or temptation, nor be deceived into taking the wrong path and leading others astray. Raise up the right men and women for each position as needed, we pray, and remove those that are not right for the role at any given time. Do not allow evil to be celebrated as good, nor good punished as if it were evil, but give the people and leaders of our county discernment to know what they need to do. May Your will be done here in our county, as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ Name we pray.

MONDAY
Father God, we pray today for our County Commissioners/County Board and those in charge of it. We pray that You would give special grace and divine wisdom to them so that they may make good and just decisions on our behalf. Give them discernment and provide conviction to know what businesses to allow, promote and invite into our county. Give them guidance to know how to create and structure regulations and ordinances so that thay the people of our county might prosper and life her might be properly ordered. Protect these leaders and their families from evil and corruption, that they would not make decisions based on personal gain, wrong motives, nor be deceived into doing so by those that possess them. Give them courage to do what is right for the people they serve, even when threatened or opposed, and protect them and their families that would seek to intimidate or do them harm for merely standing for what is right and serving faithfully. We also lift up all those who provide information to them. Provide the same guidance, protection, wisdom, insight, and help, so that they may provide timely, accurate, and useful information for the leaders’ decision making process. Bless our county, Lord, we pray, through these leaders, so that life may flourish here. In Jesus’ Name we pray.

TUESDAY
Holy and Merciful Father, we come again to You today to pray for our county. We ask that You would raise up into positions of leadership, good and righteous judges, court officials, attorneys and prosecutors, and legal counselors for our county. We ask for Your Just and Righteous Presence to cover and fill the justice system of our county so that justice is truly accomplished on a daily basis. We ask that divine wisdom and discernment from You be given to those handing down judgments, as well as to those who counsel and support them and the justice process. We know Father that You disdain those who take bribes to pervert justice and those who refuse to rule righteously, but rather promote wickedness with their rulings. Expose any such people within the justice system of our county and remove them. Replace them with those who will take this burden seriously and seek to serve and honor the people of this county as they take their duties seriously. Remind all such officials that they will one day stand before Your judgment seat to give account for the rulings and decisions they have made. May they fear and honor You more than they fear and honor people around them, so as to make proper decisions. Protect them and their families from evil and evil’s influence. Do not allow them to be led into temptation. Give them strength always to choose what is right. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. In Jesus’ Name we pray.

Wednesday
Father God, we lift up to You today our county law enforcement officials. We pray for our sheriff and deputies that are charged with protecting the people and territory of our county. We pray that You would help them to remain diligent and vigilant. Give them eyes to see evil, corruption and crime as it is developing, so that they may stop it before it blossoms and bears evil fruit. Help them to be at the right place, at the right time to stop or catch criminals, so as to prevent evil from spreading in our county. May our county gain the reputation of having a law enforcement system that should not be tested - because criminals will be caught, prosecuted and convicted. Give supernatural discernment and guidance to our officials who are conducting investigations and searches that they may find the evidence they need and properly collect and record it so as to assist the prosecutor in providing charges that can be successfully pursued. We pray that You would empower them with courage and protect them and their families from evil and temptation. May they feel supported and honored in their work, that they would be motivated to continue and not discouraged. May they be used as Your instruments to punish wrongdoers and put the fear of God into people of our county and surrounding areas to prevent wrongdoing in the future. Give them courage and provide all that they need, emotionally, physically, psychologically, mentally, relationally, and spiritually, to be able to perform their duties on a daily basis. We thank You for them, Father. In Jesus’ Name we pray.

Thursday
Father, We lift up to You all the administrative staff of our county. We thank You for all those that work diligently to make sure our county can continue to run smoothly. We lift up the County Clerk’s office, the Assessor’s office, the Health Department leaders and staff, Emergency management, County Recorder, County Auditor, Parks Department, Human Services, Road Crews, and all the rest of those offices, leaders, and staff that serve the people of our county. Bless them with divine grace, Lord, that they may be empowered to do their jobs well and with the right heart. May they honor You and honor the people they serve with all they do and say. Give them knowledge and understanding to be able to perform their duties efficiently and thoroughly. May they not be discouraged in their roles, but be able to recognize how important they are. May the people of our county celebrate them and support them so that their work may be a blessing. Place each of these important support persons into their position and transition out those that no longer need to be in these positions, we pray. Send Your angels to protect and minister to them, that they might be protectors for those in our county, faithfully guiding and serving those under their care. We thank You for all these things, in Jesus’ Name.

Friday
Father God, We pray today for the people of our county, that You would give us all wisdom, discernment and divine guidance in electing and appointing the right people for the right positions of leadership. We recognize that You have called, gifted, and equipped people for specific roles and duties in life. We pray that You would give the people of our county eyes to see these qualities in potential leaders and servants, so that we might make the right decisions regarding selecting leaders and workers. We pray that the people of our county would be more concerned with character, intergrity, and ability than with appearance, charisma, or speaking ability. May we be a people that looks beyond the surface to see the heart of potential leaders and with Your help, be able to place people into positions of responsibility that will truly be responsible and faithful with their calling. Give us the leaders we need, Lord, not the leaders we deserve or even think we want. Have mercy on us as a people here, we pray, in Jesus’ Name.

Saturday
Lord of Hosts, we pray that You would give divine wisdom, knowledge, discernment, and insight to all those leaders in our county who work on economic development and housing. We pray that they would have eyes to see what businesses will be fruitful and bless our county in the future and which ones will not, so that they might rightly decide what to allow and promote and what to block. We pray that Your Holy Spirit would give favor to those making contracts and negotiations with new businesses and organizations so that our county would draw those groups that will cause our people and area to flourish. We pray that You would protect our decision makers from deception, that they would not be fooled into inviting businesses into our county that will cause harm. Provide sources for our county to promote good businesses and housing for those in our county. Connect our county leaders with those that have knowledge and experience to assist in this process. Bless our county and those who live here we pray, in Jesus’ Name.
