Father God, we thank you that You have made Justice and Righteousness the foundation of Your Throne. We pray together as Jesus taught us today that this specific aspect of Your will and character would be made manifest here on earth as well. We pray specifically that in America, where You have given us authority and responsibility, Your righteousness and Your justice would be elevated among all arenas of Law making and Law giving. We pray that all those who serve in Congress and the Senate, and all those individuals and bodies that support them, would be cleansed of unrighteousness, jealousy, selfish ambition, greed, idolatry, and injustice. We pray that each would truly seek to promote goodness, righteousness and justice through the laws, rules and regulations that they create for America. We pray that You would convict them by Your Holy Spirit when they are not doing so. We pray that You would remove from such positions anyone who is promoting evil or injustice and replace them with those who will instead promote righteousness and justice. We pray that You would raise up honest leaders who have the best interest of the people they are serving in the forefront of all decisions they make. We pray that You would put into such positions people who fear God and recognize that they will be held accountable for every law they put into place. Give wisdom and insight to all those in the Legislative Branches of our Government, that they might be able to see the implications of the laws and regulations they make, so that they do not create problems and injustice with such laws. We thank You, Lord, for You are the great lawgiver. Give us lawmakers after Your heart. In Jesus’ Name we pray.

MONDAY
Father God, we recall how You sent Jethro to Moses to advise Moses that more capable and wise leaders were needed to bear the burden of the people. We pray that through the various Senate and Congressional Committees, You would guide and lead our nation into a better position. Through these various committees, we ask that Your voice of wisdom, righteousness and justice would prevail. We pray that members of these committees might be able to come to understand one another deeply, even if they don’t agree, and appreciate one another for the insights they bring to the table. We pray that each of the members’ unique gifts, talents, experiences and perspectives would be used to a good end, to promote the best outcomes for all the people of America. We pray that the work of each of these committees would support the overall work of our Legislative Branch to inform the creation of good and just laws and policy decisions. Please place those that need to be on these committees into their positions for Your good purposes and for the good of America and the World. We pray that You would also remove those that do not need to be on these committees. Protect each member and their families from deception, temptation, corruption and evil, so that they each might be free to do what is right in Your sight. May Your Holy Spirit lead, guide, protect and provide supernatural wisdom and insight to each one so that they might lead righteously to Your glory and to the benefit of all Americans. We pray specifically for the Judiciary Committees of Congress today. Work in them to accomplish Your will. In Jesus’ Name we pray.

Today Father God, we pray specifically for committees in the Senate and House. We ask for Your blessing to be upon each of these committees, that Your Holy Presence would guide and protect them so that they come to correct conclusions and provide righteous and just decisions and counsel to their larger bodies. May Your hand be upon each of these committees to keep them on track, that they would not be deceived, distracted, nor led astray; that they would not be corrupted, nor tempted to turn away to a wrong path, even though it looks like a good one. Give them supernatural discernment to see through deceptions of enemies and especially The Enemy, so that they can make decisions and policies that will cause people and life to flourish according to Your will. We pray for the Agriculture/Forestry/Nutrition Committees, the Appropriations Committees, and the Banking/Housing/Budget/Finance Committees, and Small Business Committees of Congress today. Work in them to accomplish Your will, we pray, In Jesus’ Name.
