Sunday
Father God, we thank You for providing leadership for our respective states. We recognize that You are a God of Order and You bring order out of chaos. Bring godly order in every area of our state government, we pray. We also thank You for the promise that when Your people, who are called by Your Name, will humble themselves, repent of their sin, seek Your face and pray, You will hear their prayers from Heaven and heal their land. We confess today, LORD, that we need You and Your healing in our state. We need Your wisdom and guidance in our state. We need Your righteousness and justice in our state to ground and direct all leaders and their decisions. We need You to raise up, empower, and embolden godly leaders to take positions of leadership at all governmental levels of our state. Please call Your people into such positions of service, as You have done in days gone by. Raise up new Moseses and Joshuas to lead, raise up new Daniels and Jeremiahs to provide wise counsel, raise up new Samuels and Deborahs to provide wise rulings and just judgments. Put men and women into positions of responsibility for the good of all the people of our state. Open their ears to always hear the voice of Your Spirit saying, “Here is the way, walk in it,” so that their leadership might be in conjunction with true wisdom and result in the flourishing of life here in our state. Surround each leader with godly counsel and close their ears to the wicked, to those who seek selfish gain, to the deceivers and tempters. Send Your angels to protect the lives and families of our leaders, that they may not make decisions based on fear, but rather make decisions based upon righteousness, justice, and true wisdom. We thank You, Father, for Your kindness and mercy towards us. Please, provide for us the leaders that we need, not the leaders we deserve. In Jesus’ Name we pray.

MONDAY
Father God, we come today to thank You for blessing us with governing structure in our state. We pray for Your guiding hand to rest upon the Governor and Lieutenant Governor of our state to lead them in Your paths of righteousness. We pray that all members of the Executive branch of our state, all committees and groups, all consultants and counselors, and all other support persons, would be blessed with divine wisdom to be able to do the best job possible for our state, according to Your holy standards. We also pray that Your Holy Spirit would bring regular conviction upon their hearts and souls to help them maintain a clear conscience, do what is right, love mercy and walk humbly before You, LORD God. We pray that each official in the Executive branch of our state would have a deep revelation that they will stand before Your Throne and held accountable, not only for their personal decisions, but especially for the decisions they make in their positions of leadership. Support, encourage, embolden and strengthen our leaders to do what is right in Your eyes, regardless of what others think and regardless of what will personally benefit those leaders. We pray that You would remove any leaders that harden their hearts toward righteousness and justice and refuse to make decisions that will dutifully serve the people of our state. Replace them with men and women that will honor their role and honor You, we pray. We thank You, Father, in Jesus’ Name we pray.

TUESDAY
Father God, we come today to thank You for blessing us with governing structure in our state. We pray that all members of the Legislative branch of our state, all committees and groups, all consultants and counselors, and all other support persons, would be blessed with divine wisdom to be able to do the best job possible for our state, according to Your holy standards. We also pray that Your Holy Spirit would bring regular conviction upon their hearts and souls to help them maintain a clear conscience, do what is right, love mercy and walk humbly before You, LORD God. We pray that all members of the Supreme Court, Lower Courts & Commissions, Circuit Courts, Superior Courts, Appellate Courts and special courts of our state, all committees and groups, all consultants and counselors, and all other support persons, would be blessed with divine wisdom to be able to do the best job possible for our state, according to Your holy standards. We also pray that Your Holy Spirit would bring regular conviction upon their hearts and souls to help them maintain a clear conscience, do what is right, love mercy and walk humbly before You, LORD God. We pray that each official in the Judiciary branch of our state would have a deep revelation that they will stand before Your Throne and held accountable, not only for their personal decisions, but especially for the decisions they make in their positions of leadership. Thursday
Father God, we thank You for the opportunity to pray as You have called us to. You have called us, as Your people, to be stewards over Your Creation. You have called us to give thanks for and to pray for all who are in authority, that we may lead quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness and reverence. You call this “good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” We pray today that You would establish leaders and a leadership culture, laws and structures, legal and judicial precedents in our state through the prayers of Your people, so as to bring about the kind of flourishing communities and godly peace and freedom that You desire to see. May Your will be done in our state as it is in Heaven with respect to all of these areas. Where there are laws and structures, organizations or attitudes among leadership and leadership culture that counter Your will and Your ways here in our state, expose and remove them. May every mountainous obstacle be laid low, every pitfall valley mindset filled in, every crooked way of leaders or laws be straightened, so that You may draw nearer to us who live in our state. May Your mission be fulfilled in our state, that all may be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name.

Friday
Holy Father, We ask that You would bless us with leaders in our state government that will be innovative, creative, and divinely inspired in their leadership roles. We pray that they would be beacons who shine brightly in their given fields as they enact justice, love mercy and walk humbly with You. May the leaders of our state become an inspiration to the leaders of other states. May they collectively sharpen one another as iron sharpens iron, so that all of them may continually grow in wisdom, faithfulness, righteousness and favor before You and others. May the leaders of our state be found faithful when examined by You, may they not be found wanting when weighed in Your scales of justice and righteousness. May they cooperate with You and with others in our state to become the best they can be, and may they strive to serve the people of their state and serve You with all their hearts. Give them supernatural wisdom, Father, that they would understand how to bless and protect those who live in our state. Give them insights into how they may cooperate with You to see individuals, families and whole communities blossom and flourish under they leadership. May they also humbly acknowledge that You are the One that brings growth, and that they are mere servants, only doing their duty. Deliver them from the dangers and deceptions of pride, selfish ambition, and other temptations. Fill their hearts with joy at the thought of doing what is right on behalf of those they serve and before You, that they may be moved to live righteously and justly all their days. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name.

Saturday
Father God, we believe that You have brought our state into being for a divine redemptive purpose. We pray collectively today that You would unlock that purpose as You bring our leaders into line with You and Your ways. Give vision, insight and wisdom to Your people throughout our state to be able to pray daily for our state leaders. Pour out Your Holy Spirit onto the churches and into every heart in our state that eyes and hearts would be lifted to you. Quicken us to be able to collectively recognize what You want to do, where You are leading, and how each of us fits into Your design for our state. May we all call leaders to account when they need to be held accountable. May we all encourage them to do what is right and good when they are faltering. May we all support them in prayer whether it seems that they are doing well or not, so that they might be strengthened daily by You to fulfill their mission so that we may fulfill ours. Transform our state, our communities, our families and the individuals here within our state. Make this a place of ever growing joy, peace, and righteousness in the Holy Spirit. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
