Sunday
Father, We give thanks to You for those who teach and train our children. We give thanks to You for their heart to direct and for their ability to guide young minds. We thank You for Your guiding hand on each of their lives, for growing them and maturing them into who they are today. We ask that You would place within them a renewed desire to serve You in their teaching. May they see their work as Your work, and understand that they have a sacred task to lead young ones to You. We ask that Your Holy Spirit would lead them and impress upon them the importance of living morally righteous and humble lives. May they set a godly example for those around them, especially those students that look up to them. We ask for steadfastness, faithfulness and perseverance in their tasks and responsibilities before You and others. Deliver them from the plans and designs and schemes of the enemy. We forbid such plans from the enemy and come against any power or lie that the devil would seek to use to harm these teachers or their students. We bind every evil thing that seeks to tear down teachers and students, and we pray that all the plans of the devil would backfire, leading others closer to You rather than leading them farther away from You and from their destinies in You. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen
MONDAY
Father, we give thanks to You for our nation’s educators. We ask that You would bless them with the patience, grace and compassion required to work with the children of this broken world. May they be instruments of Your grace and healing, especially with kids that need that most and are difficult to love as a result. Give them eyes to see beyond the exterior and into the hearts of those they are serving so that they might be moved by Your kindness and mercy to extend mercy and grace to those children. May they have vision and desire to nurture those under their care rather than just work for a paycheck. As the influence of evil in this world grows, let Your people in schools across America be the opposing answer to that influence. May Jesus Christ shine through teachers, principals, and all support staff. Let the Good News be released into the lives of all school-age children across this land, as well as into the hearts of all school staff and faculty, so that Your will may be accomplished in schools and in the educational system in this nation. We thank You, Father. It is in Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
TUESDAY
LORD of the Heavenly Host, we pray that You would release angels, Your servants of fire, into the schools and school properties all across our nation. Protect children and staff from all the attacks of the devil, from physical, psychological, relational, and spiritual violence. Deliver our schools from evil. Jesus, You have said that “the gates of hell shall not prevail” against Your people, that You have given to us “power and authority to overcome all the power of the enemy,” so we take up that power and authority now and declare that the devil will not have our children nor the children of this nation any longer. They will be set free to see You at work in their lives, to experience the healing love that You have for them, to hear Your Word to them and to have their lives and relationships transformed by Your presence. We rebuke evil off of them and rebuke the lies that the devil is trying to use to destroy them. Cover the children of this nation with the blood of Jesus to set them free, send Your Holy Spirit to lead them into all truth and freedom, and send Your angels now to fight on their behalf and minister to them. May our children all across this nation turn to You, Jesus, and find in You, all that they need for life, liberty and the pursuit of true happiness. In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.
Wednesday
Father God, we pray today for college and university educators. We pray specifically that they would be empowered by Your Holy Spirit to be able to prepare our young people for the challenges they will meet in the coming years. Give supernatural insight and wisdom to curriculum developers and school planners to know what challenges our young people will face, so that they can be prepared properly to meet those challenges. We pray that people of character, integrity, wisdom and compassion would fill such roles and positions of educational leadership. We pray that they would be called by You and burdened to mentor young people, so that the youth of our nation would grow not only blossom in their studies but in their lives and relationships as well. We pray that such leaders in higher education would be able to properly see and understand what important values they need to communicate and pass on to the students under their care and have the wisdom and perseverance necessary to promote those values. Remove leaders in these fields that refuse to listen to Your agenda for young people and replace them with those that will cooperate with the leading of Your Holy Spirit. Deliver such leaders from temptation and evil’s influence. Protect them from pride and deception so that they would not be easily manipulated by their enemies. Purify their hearts and motives, we pray. We thank You for hearing our prayers. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen
Thursday
Father, we pray for all educators and staff that serve our children in America. We pray for pre-school programs, teachers, and directors. We pray for Daycare workers and educators. We pray for Head Start programs and their staffs. We lift up all elementary school leaders, staff and teachers. Bless them Lord, we pray, with hearts full of love for You and for our children. Give them courage to report situations that may be dangerous for the children they are serving. Give them hearts with a passion to see children flourish in all areas of life, that they would work diligently to achieve that goal. Put the right people in the right places, those called to teach in the perfect grade levels and those called to administrate and organize into those positions, so that all the gifts You have given to such leaders may be fully utilized. For those that are in educational roles for the wrong reasons, we pray You would move them to where they truly belong, so that they may find the places where they fit and prosper, and so that the positions they currently hold may be opened for those You have called to fill them. Bless and protect our children’s educators so that our children may be blessed and protected. Deliver them from evil, from pride, from ignorance, from distraction and from deception. In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.
Friday
Father, we pray today for all Middle School and High School workers, leaders and staff. We pray that You would give them hearts that genuinely and deeply love our kids and we pray that they would be able to communicate that genuine love effectively to the children of this nation. Empower them to be able to maintain order and discipline in their respective settings. Give them divine wisdom to know how to connect with students in such a way that changes students’ hearts, that brings healing to those students that are hurting, and that empowers these children to grow into their gifts and callings and relationship with You. We pray that You would send Your Holy Spirit into all the middle schools and high school of our nation to draw students and staff to Yourself. May they experience life and flourishing and a cessation of violence, death, and suicide. Protect the physical school settings and change the school atmospheres so that the elements that promote evil and isolation and violence would be removed. Replace such evil and isolation with meaningful and healing relationships where students and staff alike feel loved and feel like they belong. May these students find their purpose and meaning through You and in our school settings. And may goodness and kindness grow and overcome evil’s influence in these settings. Let Your peace and love reign in our schools in America we pray, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Saturday
Father God, we ask today that You would pour out Your Spirit over all educational leaders at the State and Federal level, from the Secretary of Education in Washington to every support staff member in every state across our country. Again we ask that You would place in each position those individuals that need to be there and that will work to promote the flourishing of our children according to Your definition, LORD. Purify the hearts and motives of those in these positions, that they would genuinely seek Your idea of best for our students across the nation at every level and would work passionately and tirelessly to see the best achieved. Give them courage and perseverance to overcome obstacles they encounter. Give them divine wisdom to be able to troubleshoot problems as they arise. Provide divine insight and guidance from Your Holy Spirit so that they may plan well and appropriately for the future to ensure that all students have access to the education they need most at any given time. Bless such leaders with Your Presence, watching over them to protect them and their families from distraction and deception, guiding them with Your gentle hand into the right and best paths. Empower them to be the leaders and shepherds they need to be for our children. And may all they do work be brought together for the good of the students of America. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
