Weekly Prayer - October 20-26, 2024

Father God, we thank You for raising up defenders and protectors in our society. We know that You have touched the hearts of men and women and called them to be willing to sacrifice themselves on our behalf to keep safe the weakest and most vulnerable, to uphold law and order, and to provide assistance and compassion in times of crisis.

Bless and protect our protectors today across this nation. We thank You for our law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS workers and first responders, we thank You for those who look to protect children and the elderly in CPS and APS roles.

We thank you for those who serve in rehab settings, working to help people change their lives.

Give supernatural wisdom to these and all others that sacrifice to protect and serve our communities and citizens, so that they may do well in their very difficult assignments.

Give them courage to do what is right always, though it may not be comfortable and may result in criticism from others.

Give them strength to persevere when the costs of service continue to rise. And help us to recognize their efforts and pray for them and encourage folks in these positions so as to support them when they need it most.

Bring healing to those that need it after they have witnessed traumatic events and have themselves been traumatized as they find themselves in tough places where they are serving.

Protect their families, empower them to get the help they need so that marriages and families may stay together. Keep them safe from all attacks from the devil, and may they not be led into temptation of any form, but be able to quickly discern and stand against the devil’s schemes.

Send Your angels to minister to them and protect them and their families.
