Daily Prayer - November 5, 2024

Father God, we thank You that You are on Your throne.

We recognize that You work through even difficult and confusing situations to bring about good. We know that You can use the craziest circumstances and weave things together to accomplish Your will.

We pray that Your will would be done here in America and in our elections, as it is in Heaven. May the people that You desire to see in positions of leadership be placed in those positions.

We pray that You would intervene to stop evil in our nation. So often we look at the outward appearance to choose our leaders, people that speak well or look good…but too often those people don’t have the moral character or gifts needed to lead.

We pray that You would raise up the most qualified leaders to positions of influence, those who do have strong moral character, who love people and want to do what’s right. Strengthen them, we pray, so that they may remain in righteous paths after they are elected.

Protect them from compromise and corruption that always tempt in systems of this world. Have Your way in our nation, we pray Lord, and have mercy on us as a people. Even though we deserve evil leaders, instead give us righteous servant leaders.

We thank You and we love You, Lord. In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.
