Father God, we say a special prayer today for those who are charged with appointing judges to their positions.
We ask that You would bring deep conviction to their hearts, minds and souls that they might feel the weight of their responsibility.
Speak to them clearly about the importance of taking their roles seriously. Reveal to them that they will be held accountable by You, by history, and by the people of this nation, regarding the decisions and recommendations they make.
We pray that they would be moved to fill the seats of judges and their counselors with honorable, just, righteous, good, wise, and studious men and women that are committed to serving and protecting the rights of the American people.
We pray that these who are in charge of appointing judges would fear God and shun evil, that they would not take bribes or be open to corrupting influences, that they would not seek to advance their own agendas or selfish ambition in making appointments, but truly seek to advance the causes of justice and righteousness in our nation.
May they not be deceived in their decision making process by pride and fear internally, nor by external voices of greed and deception.
We also pray for those who are called upon to elect various judges to their positions.
We pray that people would not be deceived as they prepare to vote.
We pray that those voting would have supernatural guidance and discernment from You to be able to make good and wise decisions about whom to vote into office.
We pray that unjust and unrighteous influences in the pre-election process would be exposed for all to see, so that people can make right decisions.
We pray that people would be rightly motivated to vote and as they vote, that they would recognize how much such judges can influence their lives and be moved to ensure that good and just people are put into such positions.
We pray that You would expose selfish ambition in the hearts of those running for judge positions and prevent the unjust and unrighteous from gaining seats.
We thank You for all these things, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
