Daily Prayer - January 27, 2025

Father God, we recall how You sent Jethro to Moses to advise Moses that more capable and wise leaders were needed to bear the burden of the people. We pray that through the various Senate and Congressional Committees, You would guide and lead our nation into a better position. Through these various committees, we ask that Your voice of wisdom, righteousness and justice would prevail. We pray that members of these committees might be able to come to understand one another deeply, even if they don’t agree, and appreciate one another for the insights they bring to the table. We pray that each of the members’ unique gifts, talents, experiences and perspectives would be used to a good end, to promote the best outcomes for all the people of America. We pray that the work of each of these committees would support the overall work of our Legislative Branch to inform the creation of good and just laws and policy decisions. Please place those that need to be on these committees into their positions for Your good purposes and for the good of America and the World. We pray that You would also remove those that do not need to be on these committees. Protect each member and their families from deception, temptation, corruption and evil, so that they each might be free to do what is right in Your sight. May Your Holy Spirit lead, guide, protect and provide supernatural wisdom and insight to each one so that they might lead righteously to Your glory and to the benefit of all Americans. We pray specifically for the Judiciary Committees of Congress today. Work in them to accomplish Your will. In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.
