Daily Prayer - March 3, 2025

Father God, we ask that You would raise up spiritual leaders for us across our state that know You intimately, that love You with all their heart, mind, strength and will.  We pray that You would place into positions of spiritual leadership men and women who not only love You, but also love other people deeply. May they be like Jesus, full of both grace and truth. May they not only have the form of godliness but also have the power and authority that comes with true godliness. We ask that You would protect our spiritual leaders across our state. Protect them from pride, for we understand that You oppose the prideful. Protect them from making impulsive and foolish decisions based upon human wisdom and instead give them spiritual discernment, patience and divine wisdom when making decisions. May they lead by godly example and teach the Word of Truth faithfully. Bring conviction to them quickly, by Your Holy Spirit, when they are “off” even slightly in their teaching or behavior. Protect them from the attacks of the devil in all forms, especially fear of what people may do or say, and deliver them from deception that seems like truth (and may be mostly true). Deliver them from discouragement, depression and the lie of hopelessness that the devil tries to convince people of. May they take their stand against the devil’s schemes in Your power and authority. May they set captives free and bind evil, overcoming lies with Your truth. May they learn to fully depend upon You and Your strength and leading, Father. May they be like Jesus, not doing anything unless they see the Father doing it first. May they be protectors of the flock, true shepherds that lead others to You. May they be a unified voice for justice and righteousness in our state. We thank You, Father. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen
